Thai Youth Development Project 2010
From July to September 2010, NHK SPRING (THAILAND) has been particularly concerned with social development. This is because the company is aware of, and supports, educational development for Thai youth.
Therefore, we have provided educational support and materials such as storybooks, encyclopedias, sports equipment, and musical instruments.
On behalf of NHK SPRING (THAILAND), Mr. Hiroyuki Kado, the president, contributed educational supports to ten schools: five schools in Samut Prakarn province, and another five schools in Chachoengsao province.
For the 'Thai Youth Development' project, NHK SPRING (THAILAND) received good feedback from teachers of the schools. They reported that it has provided great support for Thai youths.
As most of Thai youths still need educational aids, it is a good policy that the private sector, such as NHK SPRING (THAILAND), provides educational support for Thai students.
The project has expanded from the original scholarship offerings for university and college students. As a result, we have expanded the project's scale to include primary and secondary schools near our plant, which aims to support the learning skills of the students.

NHK SPRING (THAILAND) considers the education of young people as significant. So, we decided to support college students. Yoshinori Omori, the chairman of the company gave scholarships to the college students from Udon Thani, a province in the North East Thailand, at our Wellgrow plant in February, 2007. In March 2007, our chairman went to Nong Khai Technical College in the North East Thailand to give scholarships to students there.
Therefore, the students have an opportunity to further their education towards a better life in the future. This is yet another valuable social contribution activity where we are willing to support Thai society.
