January 7-9, 2013, Mr. Kaoru Hatayama, President of NHK SPRING (THAILAND) CO., LTD., extended a New Year's greetings and company's policies 2013 to all T-NHK staff members. This year, NHK SPRING (THAILAND) also celebrates its 50th anniversary. The text below is the speech as the President delivered it;

Happy New Year!

As in previous year, the excise tax-exemption policy for first-car buyers, including arrears, which occurred during last year's flood. Because of the situations mentioned above, the number of vehicles produced in Thailand last year was the highest volume we've ever had. Leaf spring factory and Seat factory were the highest volume ever produced. Unfortunately, IT business environment has stagnated, this caused a slowdown in PPS and DDS manufacturing. Anyway, I'd like to say thank you for all your cooperation, hard work, and dedication you've contributed over the year.

Thailand's automotive production plan for the first half year of 2013, keeps growing continuously because of the excise tax-exemption policy for first-car buyers. The second half of the year, production volume is predicted to be moderated. So that overall image of global automotive market in mid to long term still keeps expanding, but HDD market will not grow as much as automotive market.

NHK SPRING (THAILAND) reaches its 50th Anniversary this year, because of industrial development and Thailand's rapid economic growth, both in terms of two- and four-wheeled vehicles' market, we continuously insist on the business until the present.

We also expand our business line to encompass new area in HDD production. Because IT industry is developed and expanded, so we need to support the market demand.

ASEAN countries will be integrated into ASEAN Economic Community by 2015. We need to encounter and go through the barriers to develop our company for even greater development among ASEAN members. We continue strengthening the foundation of our company to facilitate future growth. Our company will grow by leaps and bounds over the next half century.
